| "I
was extremely pleased with Mad Dog's performance on my home and the Hopping
law firm building. Both projects were completed on-time and on-budget.
In our office building project, Mad Dog worked closely with us and the
architects during the design stage to achieve a cost-effective, buildable
design. Mad Dog's work on both projects reflected an attention to detail
and a real effort to meet clients needs."

Capabilities:
Many of Mad Dog's clients have chosen to utilize our talents as design/builders. Our clients value our experience and enjoy the single source responsibility and benefits of having their contractor involved in the initial phase of their projects. Our design capabilities, familiarity with local codes and permitting requirements and our cost conscious approach guide the project around many of the obstacles that stand in the way of cost control and job completion. The design/build team concept brings together a group of professionals who work closely with the owner to efficiently proceed through the phases of planning, designing, constructing and service. Timely Delivery Mad Dog can perform well within the constraints of tight design and construction schedules. Typically, design/build projects have outperformed the traditional design, bid and construct methods because the design teams are structured to react more quickly and produce phased construction drawings with limited scope information. Mad Dog has utilized these "fast track" techniques and continues to develop methodology to minimize design development time. Budget Conscious Design The design/build process results in the customer receiving the best value for their design and construction dollar. The process is simple: Review the initial construction budget, determine the customer's priorities and concerns, and specify methods and materials in the design that most effectively meet the project's goals. Time, budget, long term building use and the overall design are all considered and evaluated to determine the most advantageous construction methods for the project. An initial construction budget is prepared prior to design and while the design is in progress, the budget is constantly updated and the cost impact of design choices and scope changes are readily available to the project design team. This method can help avoid last minute adjustments after the final bids are in, by keeping the project design team on track and fully informed during the design process. Fast Track Construction: The process of design/build saves time over conventional linear approach of design, bid, redesign, rebid. Fast tracking saves more time by allowing the project construction to begin as the design is in progress. Site work and foundations can be started before interior details are final. |
