Mad Dog donated a second Gazebo at Lake Ella and was cited in the Tallahassee Democrat, "City to Dedicate Lake Ella gazebo."
Received Tallahassee/Leon County Historic Preservation Award for the Mad Dog office.

Mad Dog breaks ground for the 4th time at Summit East and Staybridge Suites Hotel is completed in July 2005.

Mad Dog began construction on the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house, which was the first of three fraternity house at Heritage Grove in Tallahassee.

Received the Historic Renovation and/or Reuse Merit Award for the Mad Dog Office from the Tallahassee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
2001
Mad Dog begins work on The Grove and University Club Apartments of San Marcos, Texas, which are the final two student housing complexes built for University Club Apartments.
2000
Mad Dog began construction of the Children's Home Society of Florida, North Central Division headquarters. We proudly support CHS and the essential work they do to help children and families in our community.
Mad Dog named Small Business of the Year by the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce for the fourth time.

Mad Dog donated services to remodel the Refuge House building and later constructed a new residence for women and children.

Mad Dog began work refurburshing portions of the historic Jefferson County Courthouse in Montecello Florida.

Renovation of the Monticello Opera House begins and Mad Dog is recognized in the Tallahassee Democrat , "Historic opera house gets face-lift" and is recognized in the Tallahassee Democrat for our work at the YMCA, "Parkway YMCA gets a boost with new facilities", by Gerald Ensley.

Mad Dog receives the Leon County Environmental and Neighborhood Award.
1991
Mad Dog receives the Partners for Excellence Award from the Leon County Schools.
1990
Mad Dog awarded the Tallahassee/Leon County Historic Preservation Special Achievement Award for preservation of the Soto-Appalachee site. The site was discovered during the early stages of construction and work was halted to protect the site and artifacts.
1989
For our work to preserve the Soto-Appalachee Site, Mad Dog receives the Florida Archaeological Council Preservation Award and the Take Pride in America National Award for outstanding contribution to Americas natural and cultural resources.
Mad Dog donated a playground at Chairs Elementary School and receives our second Small Business of the Year Award.

Mad Dog received the Leon County Commissioners Environmental Award for the Henry Buchanan Mick and English office building and is awarded Best of Show in the Tallahassee Builders Association Parade of Homes.

Mad Dog donates new Gazebo for Lake Ella to the City of Tallahassee, is named Outstanding Small Business of the Year by the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, and is awarded Best of Show in the Tallahassee Builders Association Parade of Homes.

Mad Dog received the Leon County Environmental Award in recognition of Blairstone Forest and is recognized in Builder Magazine, "Energy Minded Builders Heat up Sales" for the Twin Lakes Energy Efficiency Guarantee.

Mad Dog received the Award of Merit from Tallahassee Tree Watch for our work at Blairstone Forest and is named as a finalist for Volunteer of the Year. Chuck Mitchell is appointed by Leon County Commission to a committee to re-draft the Stormwater Ordinances.

Mad Dog named WFSU-TV Auction Donor of the Year.

Tom Barr’s "onion home", conditioned by a passive cooling system, is detailed in an article in Rodale's New Shelter magazine.
Laurie Dozier received General Contractor license qualifying Mad Dog to take on larger projects.

The "Berm House", which was naturally conditioned by a Passive Cooling system, receives national and state wide attention in Fine Homebuilding, The Mother Earth News, and House and Garden.

Articles published in SolarAge and SolarTimes showcase Mad Dog buildings with Passive Cooling systems incorporated into new homes. 
1979
Mad Dog was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, Appropriate Technology Division, to construct and monitor a solar kiln.
1977
MD Construction incorporated under the name Mad Dog Design & Construction Company and opened our first office in Tallahassee, Florida at the Sunrise Community, primarily working as a residential contractor.
1974
MD Construction receives the nickname "Mad Dog" from Leon County's Chief Building Official.
